Unintelligible thoughts about Hadestown
I saw the show in Atlanta on Jan 10th. Eurydice and Hades were both played by understudies. Will Mann as Hades is a particular stand out, the man is built like a tank and was as physically opposing as he is mentally.
Would do this with notes like I would a movie, but it’s not like I could have my phone out during a performance. These are taken from scribbles during intermission and in the car post show.
Orpheus sang everything. Even little lines that could have easily been spoken (yes ,etc.) and his voice was absolutely lovely. Chibueze was actually adorable to watch.
Napkin flower. Napkin flower. Napkin flower
Eurydice was absolutely vibing with the fiddle player at the start of road to hell, miming along with them.
Cecilia’s Eurydice was much more…? Wild child. She’d startle Orpheus then he’d get all excited like a puppy. Love this dynamic
When Hermes has Orpheus bless the drinks in Livin’ it up on top someone in the chorus goes “YEAHHHHHHH ORPHEUS” and I’ll never forget that
Persephone being absolutely motherly to both of them💕
HOW THE WALL LITERALLY ROLLS IN BEHIND THE SET
Hermes whistle is a lighter and it’s actually hysterical (or this might’ve been a candle.)
Hades would Carry Persephone’s purse for her down from the balcony .
The lighting. The lighting. The lighting. While perfect other times it was so fucking bright you couldn’t see, like little spotlights in wait for me were hellbent on blinding the audience, that and when hades “conducts the electric city.”

Happy belated birthday to the Fox! 🎈I got the news a day late but snapped this photo on my way home last night.
The Fox Theatre opened on September 21, 1928 with a performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” by the Fox Theatre Grand Orchestra, followed by “The Evolution of Transportation” depicting the history of Detroit and a silent film called ’’Street Angel’’ starring Janet Gaynor. 9/21/23

Knox Theatre (1937 Warrenton GA)
From the 1930s through closing in 1997, the Knox Theatere saw bands, road shows, vaudeville acts, and movies presented in this beautiful theatre. Now owned by Warren County, plans are to renovate in keeping with its historic significance. For more on Knox's history and the paused in time location of Warrenton Georgia, please visit:

Calling All Kids! This looks really fun. You get a Roger Corman Monster Movie, Tarzan, a Flying Saucer Dance Contest, prizes, and a kiddie swap meet. You probably could score Topps Trading Cards, issues of Famous Monsters of Filmland and Castle of Frankenstein, and maybe even Aurora Monster models. And all for less than subway fare. I picture The Losers Club from "IT" attending.

It now lives completely in my head. I am shaking this show in a little jar. It ohhhh I have a lot to say I’m going to make several posts but-
No the show was absolutely fantastic and I can’t help but to think some of it was cut? Purely from it being a tour because there is no way it’s shorter then two hours. But a lot of stuff was hinted/included but just not? Touched on as much as I would like but that’s just me
Like Gleb is there- then he’s not- then he’s here - then he’s not. I feel like they took something out.
Anyways 10/10 if there’s any active community for this musical omg please talk to me any time
I still need to watch the movie but my boys not there so idk… I do love don bluth though…
